Yamaha F150 Engine Specifications
This engine is an Inline 4 design available in two configurations: Mechanical, with 2.7L displacement, a bore x stroke of 94 x 96.2mm (3.70 x 3.79in), a 9.0:1 compression ratio, and 87 octane recommended fuel; or DEC (Digital Electronic Control), with 2.8L displacement, a bore x stroke of 96 x 96.2mm (3.78 x 3.79in), a 10.3:1 compression ratio, and 89 octane recommended fuel. Both use EFI fuel induction, a maximum ethanol blend of 10%, a full throttle RPM range of 5,000–6,000 RPM, 16-valve intake, and carry a C.A.R.B. 3-Star emissions rating.
Yamaha F150 Electrical, Ignition, and Lubrication
Ignition is handled by a TCI microcomputer system with an NGK-LFR6A-11 (or LFR5A-11) spark plug, and starting is electric. The alternator delivers 35 amp (Mechanical) or 50 amp (DEC) output at wide-open throttle. Lubrication is a wet sump system using Yamalube 4M recommended engine oil, with an oil capacity of 4.5L / 4.3L. Cooling is thermostatically controlled, and recommended fuel filtration is a Yamaha 10-micron fuel/water separating filter (external).
