Yamaha F150 Tiller Engine Specifications
This engine is an Inline 4 design with 2.8L displacement and a bore x stroke of 94 x 96.2mm (3.70 x 3.79in) or 96 x 96.2mm (3.78 x 3.79in), depending on configuration. It uses Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), a compression ratio of 9.0:1 or 10.3:1, and runs on 87 or 89 octane recommended fuel with a maximum ethanol blend of 10%. Full throttle RPM range is 5,000–6,000 RPM, intake is 16-valve, and the engine carries a C.A.R.B. 3-Star emissions rating.
Yamaha F150 Tiller Electrical, Ignition, and Lubrication
Ignition is handled by a TCI microcomputer system with an NGK-LFR6A-11 or LFR5A-11 spark plug, and starting is electric. The alternator delivers 50 amp output at wide-open throttle. Lubrication is a wet sump system using Yamalube 4M recommended engine oil, with an oil capacity of 4.5L / 4.3L.
